The Best Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers to Own
One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were established in the year 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Through the years, they have grown into a major designer brand with boutiques in multiple countries, and it’s one that fashion fans can’t resist.
I’ve followed Golden Goose for ages and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who originally loved the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what made me pay more attention. Having seen his in person and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was more intrigued. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have stronger distressing than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
If you’re choosing in person, it might be a good idea to look at multiple pairs and pick from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have used occasionally (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I really enjoy them! I bought another pair the same and customized them with dark laces + a burgundy detail, so they’re really fun! I also own a pair of plush burgundy style, and two pairs of high-cut styles! I do definitely want a new blackgoldengoosesneakers.com black version, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I should get both, even though they’re different.
